The word Bugiganga from Portuguese means trinkets; gewgaw; gimcrack; knick-knack in English.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe same word i used to hear in the houses of rich people, my grandmother´s workplace as servant-maid, housekeeper, housemaid, \"empregada doméstica\" many euphemisms for \u003cspan lang=\"en\" class=\"ILfuVd\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"hgKElc\"\u003eModern Slavery. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv data-fontsize=\"17\" data-lineheight=\"23\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" class=\"title-heading-justify\"\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\u003cspan lang=\"en\" class=\"ILfuVd\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"hgKElc\"\u003eMy grandmother who took me with her to \"work\", a\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e black woman cleaning the mess of white people families in huge houses and apartments in the Posh neighborhoods of São Paulo. The bosses in those houses use to describe anything my grandmother wore or that belong to her as \u003cem\u003e\"bugiganga\".\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eThis experience gave me the idea for this record collection, also everything that for the colonizers are worthless things trinkets, gewgaw, gimcrack, knick-knack, are certainly the most important things to the colonized person, their only belongs with a huge value. This is the same with \u003c\/em\u003e the music or any work done by slaves or the objects and raw materials used in any production of colonial goods.\u003cem\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv data-fontsize=\"17\" data-lineheight=\"23\" class=\"title-heading-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe plants in the cover-art should help the beholder to remember the ancestors of the Native and African people that are the foundation of the culture and identity of the Americas or \u003cb\u003eAbya Yala\u003c\/b\u003e (Guna language means \u003cstrong\u003eland in its full maturity\u003c\/strong\u003e or \u003cstrong\u003eland of vital blood\u003c\/strong\u003e).
