DJ Garrincha documented this event in Berlin with photos, coinciding with the first party of the tropical diaspora called Brazil Roots at the time with the special guest Djs Garrincha and Paulão, featuring the legendary participation of Nelson Triunfo, DJ Vivian Marques, MC Joni, BCid Dessa, Ziza, and Mika.
"City of HipHop" is a socio-cultural encounter project (based in Berlin, Germany) in cooperation with Gangway e.V., HipHopTude Netzwerk, Kaos Kult Agency, Conceitos de Rua e.V., and Mixtur 36 e.V., utilizing the resources of contemporary "Urban Culture."
Hip-Hop culture has repeatedly proven to be particularly suitable as a mediating path and as a "language" for the integration of different cultures, ethnicities, and languages, especially in difficult social environments.
The main goals of this project are to promote international encounters, implement an inter-urban dialogue to compare approaches of different political and socio-cultural techniques; and to foster mutual inspiration and the exchange of knowledge regarding different methods and paths through which the active members of this global, urban culture manifest Hip Hop and its content in the world's major cities.

"City of HipHop" ist ein soziokulturelles Begegnungsprojekt (das in Berlin/Deutschland angesiedelt ist) in Kooperation mit Gangway e.V., HipHopTude Netzwerk, Kaos Kult Agency, Conceitos de Rua e.V. und Mixtur 36 e.V., mit den Mitteln zeitgemäßer‚ „Urban Culture“.
Als besonders geeignet für die Integration verschiedener Kulturen, Ethnien und Sprachen hat sich vielfach die HipHop-Kultur als Mittlerweg und als „Sprache“ besonders in schwieriger sozialer Umgebung erwiesen.
Hauptziele dieses Projektes sind die Förderung internationaler Begegnungen, die Umsetzung des interurbanen Dialogs zum Vergleich der Ansätze verschiedener politischer und soziokultureller Techniken; die gegenseitige Inspiration und Wissensvermittlung verschiedener Methoden und Wege, auf denen die Aktiven dieser globalen, urbanen Kultur, Hip Hop und seine Inhalte, in den wichtigsten Städten der Welt manifestieren.
