The Residency
Tropical Diaspora Records DJ Collective is about to start a new music curation residency at the Vagabund Brauerei in Berlin Wedding. We call this residency V.I.P. in reference to last Fela Kuti´s Africa 70 concert in the Berliner Philharmonic 1978 where Fela introduce the real meaning of V.I.P., Vagabonds In Power.
Vagabond is like the wandering proletarian with no fixed home but who can claim the world as a home. Vagabond is like the black fugitive who navigates the swamp guided by the native in search of the Quilombo. Let us initiate a vagabond journey with Tropical Diaspora Records and celebrate the spirit of our ancestors at Vagabund Brauerei in the heart of Rote Wedding.
