Berlin [TDR®] Tue.22.04.26 - Signals from the Crossroads #3 - Fellowship Plans and New Releaes on Vinyl and Digital

The signal from the Crossroads continues, the #2.

You are still here. Or you have just arrived. Either way: the crossroads does not ask how you came. Only that you listen.

Since the first transmission, we have been asked: what do you want from us?

Nothing you are not already carrying.

We do not want your data. We do not want your loyalty. We do not want your money before the music. We want the same thing Exu wants: the encounter. The moment when a signal leaves one body and enters another, changed.

This is not a newsletter. It never was. This is a second signal from the same crossroads

The signal continues.

This is a second signal from the same crossroads.

Tropical Diaspora Records® Fellowship Plans

The Keepers

The Keepers – A New Way to Sustain the Current.

Tropical Diaspora Records was founded on a simple, uncompromising idea: that the music of the Afro-diaspora is not entertainment. It is memory. It is resistance. It is a vessel for stories that were never meant to survive.

For years, you have supported us—by buying records, by showing up, by carrying these stories into your own homes and communities. Now, we are inviting you to go deeper.

Introducing The Keepers.

A fellowship program for those who understand that this work is not a transaction. It is a commitment. A commitment to the artists who pour their histories into grooves. A commitment to the ancestors who circled the Tree of Forgetfulness and refused to forget. A commitment to the Orishas of communication, who remind us that no message ever arrives intact—and that the journey itself is sacred.

Inspired by the words that have guided us from the beginning:

"There are men that fight one day and are good, others fight one year and they're better, and there are those who fight many years and are very good, but there are the ones who fight their whole lives and those are the indispensable ones."

Bertolt Brecht

The Keepers are those indispensable ones.

NEW RELEASE

by Dub Manual - Quando

Feat. Felipe S (Mombojó)

Dub Manual - Planeta De Pedras

This new release confronts colonization directly

"Quando a verdade não é fixa / A maldade se apropria / Tudo está em fluxo"

When truth is not fixed, evil appropriates. Everything is in flux. The echo, the noise, and the rupture tearing through the imposed silence. Evoking the ancestors, decimated by colonization. Reimagining the world from the ruins. Building the future with shards of the past

For Tropical Diaspora Records, this is not a departure. It is a continuation. Rooted in Pan-African ideology and Frantz Fanon's Third Way, the label has always understood that the music of the African diaspora is not a product to be extracted — it is memory, resistance, and continuity. Colonization attempted erasure. We respond through amplification.

NEW RELEASE

by ANANDA - Quanta Gota

Debut Release!

Dub Manual - Planeta De Pedras

"Quanta Gota" is her debut single — a forensic indictment of necropolitics, structural fascism and racism, and the blood-stained foundations of the Brazilian State. The title asks the question that echoes through the song: "With how many drops of blood is the State built?"

This 7-inch vinyl single presents two versions:

A Quanta Gota (Original)

The full, unflinching track.

Lyrics by ANANDA. Music by ANANDA & Zé Nigro.

B Quanta Gota (Instrumental)

The raw, bones-only version.

The percussive landscape of Afro-Brazilian resistance laid bare.

NEW RELEASE

by PROJETO JUSANTE

Various Artists

Dub Manual - Planeta De Pedras

Dr.Sócrates describes Projeto Jusante is an incredible succession of identities united in a powerful sound formula that transcends social divisions and prejudices without ignoring or rendering them invisible. All are identities that have traditionally been denied and denigrated by the oppression exercised by the dominant whiteness in contemporary Brazil. It is a collection of powerful, poetic and creative voices that go to the heart of the problem, accompanied by a rhythmic line that dignifies the proposal of the artist-poets. It represents the possibilities of the many-headed hydra: that social unity in diversity is more necessary than ever in the fight against fascism and imperialism. Poetic terrorism. It needs to be listened to with interest, respect and depth in order to understand what it is conveying to us and what we cannot be indifferent to. It is outside the norm; the artists participating in Projeto Jusante are our hope.

NEW RELEASE

by Riosentí - Maria Rosa

Dub Manual - Planeta De Pedras

A Birthday Gift from the Heart!

Today is a very special day—not just for Riosentí, but for Alina Navarro's heart. On her grandmother's birthday, Alina gifts the world "Maria Rosa," a single born from pure love, memory, and gratitude.

This song is Alina's personal letter to the woman who shaped her soul. Every verse is a photograph: her grandmother's tranquil smile, her voice like a guiding star, and the endless wisdom that came from a life fully lived. "Penas me enseñaste a planchar / corazón siempre en lo alto"—she taught me to smooth out sorrows and keep my head high.

Released on this meaningful date, "Maria Rosa" is more than music. It's a hug across time, a celebration of roots, and the most honest tribute a granddaughter could offer.

Happy birthday, abuela. This one is for you. 🌹

Stream "Maria Rosa" now.
