PAX NICHOLAS & THE RIDIMTAKSI is a band of 12 skilled musicians from Africa & Berlin who share the love for heavy and funky music. Lead by experienced showman, singer and percussionist Pax Nicholas from Ghana, who was a member of FELA KUTI´s legendary band AFRICA 70 from 1971 to 1978, they are out there to make you happy with hard-hittin' AFROBEAT and a heavy dose of SOUL. In 2010, they left an impressed audience when they opened the show for Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings at Huxley´s, Berlin. Be it original Fela Kuti songs or Pax´ own Soul, Funk and Highlife influenced compositions, be it classic or modern: when the Ridimtaksi is on the move you better be ready, these guys will make you move your feet and shake your hips!
