From the periphery of Francisco Morato, a matriarch raises her voice. No forgiveness. No reparation. Only the blood ledger.

merging from Francisco Morato, a dormitory city and one of the most violent peripheries in the São Paulo metropolitan region. ANANDA is not a typical debut artist. She is a mother, a permaculturist, a professor of physics and mathematics, an engineer, a popular educator, and a co-founder of the anti-genocide collective Alfanje.

Today, she adds another title: recording artist.

Her debut single, "Quanta Gota" (TDR077), is released on Morato Records, a new division of Tropical Diaspora Records® dedicated to music rooted in specific territories of struggle. The 7-inch vinyl at 45 RPM features the original track on Side A and an instrumental version on Side AA.

The song is a forensic indictment. Over a haunting, percussive soundscape, ANANDA names her enemies: liberalness, imperialism, structural racism, machismo, and the necropolitics that authorizes the extermination of her people. The chorus repeats a devastating question:

"With how many drops of blood, trampled, suffered, wept, sweated, erased, is the State built? Is the favela built? Is the slave quarters built?"

The artwork merges ANANDA's face with the topographic contour lines of Francisco Morato, her territory etched onto her image. The packaging includes a die-cut adapter (DCA) for immediate play, a paper envelope with lyrics, and an open plastic sleeve. No shrink-wrap. No excess. Just the music, the map, and the message.
