Joanah Flor Celebrates Valentine's Day with "Xamego e Xêro," Her New Affectionate Single

RECIFE/OLINDA; June 12, 2025; In celebration of Valentine's Day, Brazilian singer and songwriter Joanah Flor releases her new single "Xamego e Xêro" this Friday, June 12, on all digital platforms. Released under the German label Tropical Diaspora Records, the track invites listeners to dive into the affections, aromas, and tenderness with which Northeastern women transform care into language, body into poetry, and desire into play.

Through an interpretation full of irreverence and natural sensuality, the Pernambuco born artist sings about love using expressions deeply rooted in the daily life of her homeland. The composition features words such as "xamego," "xêro," "emaranhado," and "visse"; terms that translate unique ways of feeling and relating, marked by the accent and warmth characteristic of Brazil's Northeast.

"Xamego e Xêro" celebrates connection without idealization, valuing the lightness and intimacy found in small gestures, through music that embraces, brings smiles, and invites you to dance.

Musically, the piece explores Pop Regional, Forró Beat, and Coco de Trupé; a rhythm typical of Pernambuco's backlands; creating a vibrant atmosphere that unites tradition and contemporaneity. The modern, danceable production by Pedrosa DJ and DJ Makô, recorded in 2024, fuses electronic beats and samples with the richness of organic sound performed exclusively by women. The accordion was recorded in São Paulo by Nanda Guedes, and the guitar in Recife by Cintia Gondim.
