In Kuba geboren, erlebt sie auf Familienfesten die Crème de la Crème der kubanischen Musikszene. Ihr Vater, Jesús “Aguaje” Ramos, ist ein außergewöhnlicher Posaunist und unter anderem Mitglied des Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club. Im Herzen dieses brodelnden Musikkessels ist Sängerin und Perkussionistin Yaite Ramos Rodriguez, alias La Dame Blanche, aufgewachsen.
Inspiriert von ihrer Herkunft, entwickelt sie mit einer explosiven Mischung aus Hip-Hop, Cumbia, Dancehall und Reggae einen kraftvollen und überzeugenden Sound. Wenn Yaite die Bühne betritt, sammelt sich im Rauch ihrer Zigarre die Energie der Geister von Santería, der afrokubanischen Religion, und ein Glas Rum steht bereit. Eine Frau, umgeben von übernatürlichen Kräften und Schwingungen – besonders was den Bass angeht.

Born in Cuba, she enjoys the Crème de la Crème of the Cuban music scene at family festivals. Her father, Jesús “Aguaje” Ramos, is an exceptional trombonist and a member of the Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club. She grew up in the heart of this seething music kettle, singer and percussionist Yaite Ramos Rodriguez, also known as La Dame Blanche.
Inspired by her origins, she develops a powerful and convincing sound with an explosive mixture of hip-hop, cumbia, dancehall and reggae. When Yaite enters the stage, the smoke of her cigar collects the energy of the spirits of Santería, the Afro-Cuban religion, and a glass of rum is ready. A woman surrounded by superhuman powers and vibrations – especially with the bass.
